Sakala School of Integrative Teaching emerged from my desire to bridge trauma-informed practice, embodied learning, contemplative traditions, and professional education in ways that feel practical, accessible, and meaningful. What began through work in yoga therapy and integrative mental health gradually expanded into the development of professional trainings, educational resources, reflective practice tools, publications, and community learning experiences.

My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful learning engages both knowledge and lived experience. Across healthcare, education, wellness, and community settings, I aim to create learning environments that support reflection, curiosity, critical thinking, and practical application. Over the past decade, I have developed curricula, trainings, and educational resources designed to help individuals and professionals integrate trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and evidence-informed approaches into their work.

I hold a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy, a postgraduate certificate in Ayurvedic Wellness Practices, the Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) credential through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and the Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) designation through Yoga Alliance, reflecting advanced teaching experience and eligibility to lead registered yoga teacher training programs.

My background includes study and training in many traditions, disciplines, and approaches to understanding human experience. While each has contributed to my learning, I find myself continually returning to the wisdom traditions of yoga, Ayurveda, and Jyotisha as enduring influences that shape my understanding of being human, cultivating self-awareness, and sharing space with others.
