A Trauma-Informed teaching style invites the client or student to orient their body based through sense of ownership and sense of agency; this is not alignment-based yoga, and there are no hands on adjustments taught or offered
Deepen an understanding of your personal intentions around your sankalpa
Enhance your skill offerings and build confidence while building experience in your delivery and teaching
Time spent in mentorship qualifies for continuing education through Yoga Alliance
Components include:
Open to those who have completed a 200-hour or more yoga teacher training program
Private 1-1 sessions over a period of five weeks with flexible hours
Mentorship sessions focus on the development of your yoga teacher voice, which includes introspection, discussion, reading, writing, audio & video assignments that include experiential explorations, and practice teaching through a trauma-informed approach
There is an expectation that you will spend equal time in self-study to be paired with your mentorship time
Assessment of your understanding of the components that are foundational to trauma-informed yoga teaching
Structured assignments that cultivate opportunity for experiential learning that is integrated into practice in teaching
Please note that the Practice Teaching component requires the ability to accept constructive feedback of your teaching
